Reine de la Ruche (“Queen of the Hive”) is out to put a bit of sophistication in the often crass and macho world of hot sauces. Owner/operator Kate Oliver, a graduate of the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts, is creating flavourful, dynamic sauces featuring fruit, florals, and a touch of Ontario honey. Try them on your morning pancakes, in your evening cocktail, on your fried chicken or tacos, even on your ice cream!
